by the way, if you have accountant, they will claim you are a foreigner when they file your taxes. it is up to the government if they want to give you the money.
The government has a history of clawing back the money after the fact if it was granted incorrectly so I don’t believe it’s a good idea to promise money to people without status.

$500 cheque could help people in many aspects, as i said, dont hesitate to file taxes, it helps with immigration as well, showing you are contributing to the society. IRCC and CBSA doesnt work along with revenue quebec or revenue canada, no one will chase after you.
If you are on a visitor visa and applying for H&C are declaring you are employed by someone that isn’t always helpful because you are showing that are working illegally. SIN# and their validity do link IRCC and CRA. Many who receive benefits stop receive tax credits, EI, etc. when their status expires.

well, i spoted a few people here in the forum dont offer much info to others, but choose to be arrogant instead. Before i left canada i had lived in many cities for 7 years, i got education in the US and canada. like i said, i "seem to be a random a touriest filing HC once i landed". it is funny to me.
Based on your posts you did arrive on a TRV and filed for H&C. You also indicated that you have not had a WP during the time you have been living in Canada. It’s just the facts. Your history or education in other countries has little to do with an H&C application. Assume your education in Canada was not recent and you left Canada after your studies. If you had not left then your education in Canada would be more relevant. If you were applying for economic immigration, a WP, etc. then your education, work history, etc. would be relevant.

dude, you can believe whatever you want to believe.
What is the fact is, the quebec government DOES know the FACT what my status is, because i am not granted with solidarity tax credit, and in the receipt they showed appreciation for filing the tax. IT IS NOT MY FIRST YEAR FILING TAX WITHOUT STATUS.
You are sharing false info, because you assume only people who work can file tax, IT IS NOT TRUE.
Since i am a foreigner, i dont necessirily have to pay tax of working income. But your housing, shopping, electricity bills etc, all these social actives related to paying taxes as well.
Definitely, EVERYONE SHOULD FILE TAXES. OR IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, ASK HELP FROM PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT INSTEAD OF ARUGING HERE TO PROVE HOW KNOWLEDGEABLE YOU ARE.
HC will definitly take your past in CANADA for account, because it proves you history establishment here, and it reflects how easy you can assimilate to the society.

Maybe you only have income within CANADA. Like i said, i owned companies back home country, some revenue from property and other side hustles bring me income as well. I dont need to report all my money from worldwide, only the portion spent within the country.

Thank you for your reply. I am waiting for AIP but I want to start getting police certificates as I loved in 5 countries so I wanted to know if I should get from when I turned 18 or where I lived in the past 10 years.

So you are saying when they ask for Police Clearance they ask for last 10 years only ? Correct?
Police Clearance is valid for as long as you did not return to the issuing country.
They request from any country you lived in from when you turned 18.
To avoid delays, I requested immediately I submitted my H&C application and we used it 11 months later when we received AIP.
Wishing you best of luck.

Hi, I also applied in November 2021, have you received AIP yet?
They received our application in Aug 2021, but until now no news. Automated machine replies: "We are processing your background check" and the same reply for more than 3 months.

Hi All, I have a quick question. If applied for H &C ( after failed refugee) and you mentioned you are fled your home country etc. Am I supposed to provide police clearance for the country that I fled from even though my refugee case was rejected? I also submitted PRRA which is still pending.
Yes pls.

Thank you @SweetQueen for such a detailed explanation. I also have one question if I fled from my country of Citizen (refugee aim rejected) but details that I can't return to my country are included in H &C application am I expected to provide police certificate from that country?

Yes, you will provide Police Clearance form your country. Except if you left the country before the age of 18.

But doesn't that mean that they have not found enough supporting evidence of your threat? is it possible for you to provide some documentation to make your claim more credible? for h&c as well, you may need to have some proof of why you cannot go back to your country. How long have you been here? how old is your child? Is there a strong enough reason that you cannot go back?

That was our exact case but today we have PR.
Same fear until we met with our lawyer who assured us that Refugee claim is one thing and H&C is another.
You need to present a good application in the interest of a child and establishment in Canada if that applies.
You can do it yourself or get a good H&C lawyer.
Have faith and everything will be alright.
I wish you best of luck.
