Hi guys
So today I checked my application status through new tracker for spousal
It’s showing medical completed and biometric received
My eligibility and background verification is not started
My husband applied from canada in june 2021
And march i did my biometric and medical
Can any help

My background verification is not started so as I submitted my PCC upfront and its been 10 months now
So i need to do my PCC again?

PCC is supposed to be upfront, that's okay. It's the medicals that should be upon request. In any case, you don't need to submit any documentation unless IRCC requests them.

One thing I will throw out here from personal experience is the "new tracker" seems to lag a bit behind emails and GCKEY updates at least in my own circumstances....

Same here. GCKey is always updated first for me. Also, the new tracker has the dates slightly off. For instance, it says they received my app on Nov 17th, but I didn't submit until the 18th (and have the exact time stamp from when I applied online through that portal).

In the new tracker it shows last updated 7 april but thr is no update in the file

Probably because multiple humans are working on your file

My own scenario there were multiple updates that had nothing updated, that said there were messages waiting when there were none. In fact up until the last update, at least 3-4 items were not marked as completed, then it all went completed.

Was it all done at once?

Probably not, but it might have been in someone's to-do, desk, files or whatever and then once they accomplished whatever, they just "updated it all" not necessarily when they "actually did it."

Most likely they were partially done or done by different people but awaiting final 'sign-off' by designated senior officer. And that senior officer doesn't do that until file is complete.

Eg if ABCD are all needed and ABC 'done' but D waiting in a queue somewhere, all of ABCD shows as pending until D received and full file sent for final approval.

Did they go directly from "Not Started" to "Completed", or from "In Progress" to completed? In my case, in the new tracker, the "Last Updated" date changes quite often, but "Eligibility" and "Background Check" are still at "Not Started". Only Medical and Biometrics are set to "Completed".

Idk how much more time
And is really frustrating
I am scared for PCC
If IRCC says i have to submit it again it will add one more month extra for the procedure of visa

In my case, I applied November 2021, and my GCKey account and On-Line Service are slow for updating. The new tracker is quicker, and I can check my status regularly. I got a pre-arrival letter and eligibility passed 3 weeks ago and just passed a background check yesterday.

Why would they ask for a new PCC? If you're that concerned, then get a new PCC now and have it ready in case they ask for it. That way you save the one month delay.
But again, I still don't see why they would ask for it.

They don't always ask for them, in fact I'd say for the majority of files. Keep in mind most files take more than six months - far from all get new PCC request.

Just wait and see.
