I found this article, it may help anyone who is curious or wants to know why exactly the processing time has now more than doubled. Something I don't quite understand yet is that many applications from previous months (August and September) are now seeing a lot of progress. I beleive that this may apply to future applications but if anyone knows otherwise, it would be much appreciated if you shared what you know.The IRCC website has updated the average processing time for a Citizenship Grant from 12 months to 27 months. Not sure if this is a mistake and if it is true does it apply to previous sent applications or only future ones?
