I don't want to discourage you but I am waiting since 10th January (Date I have biometrics).... It has been 10 weeks, from Italy.

I understand very well. The point is, they never reply or explain if you write to them. It feels quite frustrating. I have just come back from Canada 5 months ago. They have my info and all the necessary data. I did not have biometrics. However, it has been 7 weeks already and no news. I hope things go well and smoothly for you. Is an office inside Canada doing yours as well?

Yes, it is inside Canada and they do not reply as well. However in the end I think I will depart with an ETA since I have to stay just 4 months (it was 5 but I lost a month waiting)

The first time I got my Canadian Visa, it ended up like yours. I had planned for 6 months but since the visa processing took a long time due to the background check, I only stayed 3 months and came back. That time I remember it took 12 weeks to get the approval and was in 2021. I hope you get it soon. Please keep us updated here. At least we can estimate somehow.

At the moment on the IRCC website it is written that processing time is 7weeks for Italy, but have been 8 weeks now since I gave biometrics.

In my IRCC account it is written:
Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Application number: W30...

Does anyone of you have experienced similar delays? It is mandatory to send the passport too? I really need it to be processed as fast as possible since I should have started work already.

i applied from France 12 of January, and still waiting for any update, they started reviewing 14th of March, do yoiu have any updates?

Guys, do you have any updates on your applications? It has been eight weeks, and still no change in the status of my application. I applied from Italy.

for me they started reviewing after 8 weeks from the biometrics day, i applied from France.
the review started 2 weeks ago without any updates, you can check the website because they don't send emails when they start reviewing

So, you mean they respected the processing time published on their websites?

no, the estimated time on thier website is not correct i guess, because it's written that "the estimated time ends when we make the final dicision" !
it has been 10 weeks now and there's no final dicision!
i don't know how long does it take to finish reviewing the eligability, i'm checking my application every 30 minutes!

It is embarrassing. I can not believe how irresponsible they can be. I did not have any biometrics since they already have mine and I just came back from Canada 5 months ago. However, after 8 weeks here I am. My work contract started already and they do not care at all.
