What. type. of. PR. application?

Is the question. If you applied under eg express entry, you should ask in that forum. Refugee. Etc.

This forum or sub-forum is for when PRs sponsor their family members. Your case is of a different type.

Hello everyone,

I need advice on how to go about an email I received for my husband regarding temporary residence application.

I applied for my husband PR in July and received AOR in September. While in the process of it, we decided to apply for a temporary residence due to the fact that I was pregnant and will be expecting my baby this month(March).

So far his PR application has been in progress after he passed his medicals in January and we haven’t heard anything yet.

I gave birth few days ago and we received an update from IRCC for my husband to submit his passport for the TR.

Should we go ahead and submit his passport for TR? And what advice can you give us concerning his Outland application.

P:s. I posted this on this thread because my husband PR application is in Accra

If you want him to get the TRV and travel to join you, yes, submit the passport. Am I missing something about your question? Why wouldn't you submit it?

For his outland app: when he gets to Canada, submit a change of address, and that way when approved, he can finalize his PR status in Canada without leaving (it's now done 'virtually' - computers and stuff).

Okay thanks. We also have a minor issue, so when we applied for the TRV, is passport is set to expiry in May. However he renewed his passport and got a new one. When submitting the passport for the TRV, should we submit both the old and the new one or just the renewal passport? I hope it’s not a silly question. Thanks

The instructions on the letter says to bring 2 pics taken from max 6 months ago.
You need to bring a copy of the ready for visa email
Your original passport
And the annexe they asked u to fill out.
You put all that one plastic bag and bring it to the VAC closest to you.

My family's (back in Nigeria) docs (Marriage Cert, Police fingerprints, kids Birth Cert) were requested by the Canadian High Commission in Ghana in 2021 after i got my PR in April 2021. My wife submitted the requested docs since May 2021 but till now, no information concerning their application. i emailed them twice asking why the application is taking much longer than expected but was told it is in queue for a review and that nothing needs to be done at the moment. i am getting tired and frustrated because it will be a year since she submitted these documents.

Can anyone in similar situation please tell me if there's another way to get more info about this application?

I just read your enquiry, unfortunately I do not know how to help out. I also got ADR myself and I haven’t from them not even an acknowledgment of the additional documents received. How were u able to email them, I would like to reach out to them for my own application . Thanks

Use webform first and email them as well with

Hello.
Webform is an option but also maybe contact your member of parliement, as they have a direct line with IRCC. You can also order the GCMS notes as you have been waiting for a long time. As for emailing them, you can try but I got a message from them recently they do not reply to emails.
