HI,

I Have completed my Engg with 72% back in 2008 and have a total 4 yrs exp in IT. No I am looking for MBA but dont have time to study for GMAT.
Can you suggest something on below:-

a) some good colleges in Canada where GMAT is not required.
b) Job opportunities after completing MBA from these college.
c) If the course is of 18 months what will be the duration of Work visa which i will get after the completion of course(1 year or 3 years).
d) Do we get part time jobs while studying.

VIU : Low Grade
TRU ( but they often ask u for Pre-MBA and then u have to qualify it with minimum score and then GMAT is required for MBA )
NYIT : New york based University having Campus in Canada - Not sure much about it

I am also on the same page as you and having Budget constraints also. No Bandwidth to prepare for GMAT being in Job in IT

it will be either 2 year PG Diploma or MBA

oh man common,
I said you can do part time jobs after completing 6 months of study + 45 days processing time for getting off camp work permit.
there is no relationship between GMAT and 6 months study

Have received admission for MBA from Brock (subject to CAS completion) and Laurentian University - Sudbury, Ontario for 2 yr MBA program
Any idea on Laurentian?

Finding a job after your MBA will likely be your responsibility entirely. Yes - some companies still visit campuses for placements but only for the top schools in Canada and not the schools you have listed (to the best of my knowledge).

The honest truth is that people with MBAs are a dime a dozen in Canada (i.e. there are very many of them). Having an MBA in no way guarantees you a job - even if you have previous work experience.

I know that B-School which require GMAT are any time better than the one which don't require GMAT but still, if I am not having Bandwidth to prepare for GMAT and want to enrol myself for MBA program then what are the good Universities which I can consider .

I have work Exp in IT for 2 years ?

I am aware of VIU and TRU.. whats ur sayin over Royal Roads or NYIT ?

If you are interested in taking an MBA in Canada, I would only consider schools that require the GMAT.

I personally would not get an MBA from a Canadian school that doesn't require the GMAT.

But that's just my opinion...

Could u please tell me the list of IT related courses for 2 years of PG Diploma.

B.Tech in Electronics with 74%

2 years of Work ex in IT .


Should I go for IT related course or business related one.

Also, whats ur suggestion over 1 year PG Course ( not 2 year ) , if PR is in my mind as well
