Immigration options for 45+

My friends, a married couple in their 40s from India want to move to Canada, but because of their age their CRS score is no where close to even 430. What other options do they have?
Student's visa is one option but at their age what course should they look for?

Please suggest.

Any program or degree must make sense based on their previous education and work history. It would have to lead to career advancement. The choice to leave their home country and study also must make sense or the will not appear like they are a genuine student. Unfortunately at their age immigration may not be possible. It also ca be very tough time to immigrate professionally and also not leave them enough time to work in Canada before retirement. I might not make sense to immigrate.
