Holiday visa extension

Hi folks. I have a working holiday visa until July 2024. I started working in a canadian university last October so until July 2024 i don't have a year straight working in Canada. Can someone verify if the only way to extend my staying is LMIA? Thank you in advance!

Do you qualify for another WH visa? Which country are you from?

I don't think so i am over the age range right now. From Greece

If you are overage then the working holiday program is out. If your job is academic at the university, it's possible you may qualify for an LMIA exempt closed work permit if your employer is willing to support. Otherwise you need an approved LMIA.

Thanks. So I was checking about the LMIA exempts and nothing seems to suit my position.

In that case you unfortunately need an approved LMIA to apply for a closed work permit and continue working.
