Not possible. You need a valid visa.Just realized my us visa expired and I was wondering if it's possible to go to the USA for a few hours without an american visa?
For terminology sake, is an ETA, ESTA a visa? Not possible. You need a valid visa.
I don't know what a US ETA is. ESTA is a visa waiver program. For terminology sake, is an ETA, ESTA a visa?
So the statement made by someone above that one needs a visa to enter the US is wrong. Because I never needed one when going to the US with my Swiss passportI don't know what a US ETA is. ESTA is a visa waiver program.
A person should check the CBP website to find the entry requirements. Many foreign nationals are visa exempt, while others, obviously, are not. Glad to see that you are part of the former! So the statement made by someone above that one needs a visa to enter the US is wrong. The original poster needed a visa previously to enter the US - which brings to the assumption that he/she is not from a visa exempt country/passportSo the statement made by someone above that one needs a visa to enter the US is wrong. If your passport is from a country that requires a visa to enter the US, you will continue to require a visa even as a PR, until you become a Canadian Citizen. If your passport is from a country that has visa waiver with the US, you won’t need a visa but will need an ESTA except if entering by ferry. ESTA and eTA are notices that you tell the US and Canada respectively that you are visiting and are from a visa waiver country.Just realized my us visa expired and I was wondering if it's possible to go to the USA for a few hours without an american visa?
