Hi all,

I have finally received a PPR after 564 days of waiting!
I'm writing this topic to provide some hints on some of my mistakes that led into a very long wait time so that you learn from them.

Before you create your express entry profile you need two things: IELTS & ECA credential assessment.

IELTS

Try to book your IELTS test at least two months in advance so that you find a nearby test location to your home and avoid necessary travel on your test date. This could help increase your score specially that the test starts 9 AM and you could have your speaking section at 7PM. So book your test early.

ECA Education Credential Assessment

Some people reported that WES World Education Services has a relatively faster processing than University Of Toronto.

And now you're ready to create your profile. Now the big question, which economic category (PNP/CEC/FSW) have a faster processing ?
The answer is: it really depends on two factors:
1- Whether you're Inland or Outland.
2- The visa office processing your application

If you are Inland or have Ottawa CPC as your visa office then the priority of the processing is as follows:
1- CEC (Average processing 2 months)
2- FSW
3- PNP (Average processing 5 months)
Note: There is no official source for this information. It's based on my analysis to the data of 6 months of applicants. Nobody really knows, but this is the trend.

My advice: If you are inland, try to achieve a high score and apply under CEC after achieving 1 year of Canadian Experience. You'll save time and PNP money. If you are outland, then it depends on your CRS score, if it's high enough then go for the FSW. Otherwise, go for the PNP as you will guarantee another invitation to apply in case that your application got rejected for any missing documents.

If you need a priority processing you need to provide a reason. If you are outland and have a job offer, or inland with a job opportunity for Permanent Residents only then you have a very valid reason that your application will get processed soon. Otherwise, sit back and relax for 6 months.

Good luck everyone!!

Are u sure one can get priority processing by providing a genuine reason??.....I am curious about the source/ credibility of this information as I never heard of it
