I checked status by Client ID Number on front side XXXX-XXXX.

When you type Client ID number remove '-' sign and type only 8 digit like XXXXXXXX.

I dont see any line for processing start date .. It only shows date they recieve my application .

Is it somethg wrong ?

I called CIC yesterday to confirm receipt of application as by mistake I sent my file to address for minor application. The agent told me that they are currently opening Dec 31st apps and some of those which were received in the first week of Jan and I should call back if I don't see anything in next two weeks.

Muzmil, Are you able to see the status on ecas. What format of Client ID did you use? With or without "-"? CIC received my application on Jan 14, 2014. But I am not able to see anything on ECAS? Any ideas..... :

You can try with PR card # or if you are using client ID , do include "-" .

It doesn't really matter whether you use PR Card#, Client ID or Receipt #. If you don't see any update means your file is not been opened as of yet. Hang in there fellas...
