Wrong middle name in FBI clearance

Dear all,
I was so happy to receive medical request as well as passport request from CHC delhi.
I also received FBI from US few days back. I am about to post all these to CHC delhi in 2-3 days.
However, I just noticed that they have written my name wrongly.
My midddle name is Rameshchandra
they have printed Rameshchandra nora
I realy dont know from where they come up with such name.

I am reaching 45 days deadline of Medical.

Can anybody tell me what shoudl i do? Will chc consider such FBI clearance?
DO i have to deal with FBI all over again?
I am realy frustrated seeing such mistakes from FBI.

Does your report include your passport number or any other detail with which you can validate, if so writer a cover letter to CHC Dlehi mentioning the discrepency, meanwhile send email or contact FBI and ask them if they can reissue or ask them if they can confirm this discrepency by mail which you can attach.

The mail id to reach FBI is liaison@leo.gov

Also please let me know one thing, when you sent full application to CHC I understand you didn;t send the FBI certificate, did you submit your application at the end of your 120 days or you sent much earlier ?

Hi,

I suggest that you contact FBI by an email and explain the error. Also send them a copy of your FBI record showing error part of your name and a copy of your passport or state ID by an email attachment. So they will have a proof of your correct name.

they will reply you with necessary changes. I ma sure you will be requierd to submit accurate original clearence to visa office.

If you dont receive your update clearence from FBI within next 45 days, you can still submit the one you have now and explain CHC by writing the situation. you can also attach all email communications in your attempt to obtain correct record.

I am sure there will be no big issue and you will also get update FBI record within 10-15 days.

How long did FBI take to issue you the record? I am still waiting for mine.

The passport number is not mentioned on FBI clearance. Only my name and then SSn number is mentioned.

I had a talk with FBI . I will me faxing them teh problamatic copy.. Lets see what happens next.
It took almost 2 montsh to get the FBI clearance.


What if i send the current copy without mentioning anything on cover letter? Just like i myself has not checked it.

I submitted my docs at the end of 120 days deadline. Let say hardly 4-5 days were left when my parcel reached ND CHC

Please write a cover letter mentioning abt the problem, do not send as it is without mentioning....if possible take the printout of the email communication u had with FBI Customer Service and their responses.

CHC shld understand this and might as you to submit the corrected version later.

Hi Ronak,

Let's do this accurate way. Inform CHC about the error on your FBI record and provide proof of all necessary steps you are going to take in order to get a new accuarte rocord from FBI. CHC will understand the situation. You also contact FBI and send them an email with a copy of your FBI record and a copy of your passport, or fax them. the passport or state ID will show your full name. So they have a verification. They can even track your full name as soon as they enter your SSN number. Not a big deal!

Trust me, you will get your update record before you submit rest of the documents.

FBI record in two months?? that was fast!
