Wrong Job Title : Express Entry profile

Hi,

I have received the ITA on 27th Nov. While uploading the documents , I realised that my wife's job title is different than that mentioned in the documents of her previous company. Please suggest what can be done , as if I correct the job title in the application , it still can't be correct in the EE profile and might create an issue later. Please help.

Doesn't matter if it was different in the earlier profile. Make required changes in the post ITA profile and continue with application submission.

Asivad Anac is correct. However, as per the law if there is a change in your situation post ITA and prior to filing the E-APR which would result in decreasing of CRS points, an applicant is under obligation to decline the ITA and re-enter the pool.

However, in your case this won't be an issue as no point decrease will take place. But, make sure that the designation your mentioned and the one that actually exists is not too far apart. If it is, it could be construed as misrepresentation and you should add a Letter of Explanation (LoE) to that effect.

In a case where the designation was Senior Technial Analyst, and you inadvertently put it as Senior Systems Analyst, that would not be a big issue and you can just go ahead with the right one and file your E- Application as suggested in the post above.

Thanks for your views Asivad and Falcon. The designation in the documents is Business Analyst ; when the role is that of a Test Engineer (the same mentioned in profile). These two are different when in reality it is a company for mainly for software testing only.

It would be unfair on my part to assure you that you can change, however since Asivad Anac is much more experienced, lets see what does he have to say for your specific situation.

I fee it would not make a difference, but where there is discretionary powers in the hand of CIC, you never can be sure.
