Hello

I submitted my application for PR within Canada to CIO-Sydney but now realized that in IMM0008 form for box 4 "Immigration Office Requested for processing this application" added "CIO-Sydney,Nova Scotia,Canada" instead of "CPP-O". Does anyone has any experience how can I correct this and will this cause any issues. I already received my AOR in july.

If you have already received your AOR, it should not be any problem now.

If you already received your AOR, you got lucky. Applications with that particular error used to be returned.

Hmm..
according to instruction guide, " Do not put CIO" so I followed the link and I could found CPP-O

Is it right?

I was very confused which one I had to put.

Thank you everyone for taking time and providing input. Every little information does help.

One more question - in AOR there is no Visa Office details not sure where to contact, any idea? Its generic AOR with following details

*E***********
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Canadian Experience Class.

Upon review of the information you have provided, your application is considered complete based upon the requirements of the Instructions and Regulation 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).

Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application. Your reference (application) number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence.

etc etc.

Generally for CEC applicants who are still in Canada, CPP-O is acceptable. You could have also selected the visa office that serves your country of citizenship.

I think you will have to assume CPP-O.

That's right... CPP-O is the visa office. CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia just receives the applications and if all is well, forwards it to the visa office.

No need to be worried. Office will make the correction (famous red pen :) )
why i'm saying this is because February 2013 my application returned to me because of missing family information page and i saw they made the correction on my file.

thanks mike
pls can u share u experience because i did the same mistake i choose cio-sydney for immigration visa office on my form. i am just wondering now where they will send my file for further processing. if any one going through same problem pls share your experience so i can have bit relief.

Dont worry guys, take a chill pill. I did the same thing too and my application got sent to Ottawa anyway.

All CEC applications are processed in Ottawa.
Anyone who puts a different office on their application will have it changed by an officer and forwarded to Ottawa. There is no way to mess that particular box up - it's a generic form but really CEC should make it clearer.

No worry..Officer will correct it for you.. One of my friend hired the lawyer. The lawyer also put the wrong place as you did..but my friend got PR couple months ago...
