Wrong delivery of work permit

My wife applied for an extension of her study permit and open work permit for me also.It was approved and sent since Jan 23,till now we have not gotten it.So we called CIC today and d agent was tellin us we need to wait for another 6 weeks that we did not indicate the house number that they only got the apartment number on our application.The challenge is waiting for 6 weeks.I just got a job and the employer is already asking for my SIN and my permit.I am worried,what else do you think I can do,as there is no way I can trace apartment 2 when there is no house number to even track the document within the neighbourhood.

In my cic account, i have approved letter showing it is my working permit, end this date, bla bla bla, can you try print it out and show it to service canada? I hope it should work. If not, log in your account in front of them, haha

I Was at service Canada today,they insist on seeing work permit before doing anything.

Tell your employer the truth. I'm sure your employer would understand. Besides SIN won't change.
