Wrong application sent, Asked to withdraw - can I send a new application?

Just to make this in a separate thread so that there is no confusion.

So I have realized that I have actually applied for a visitor extensions visa, although I a PGWP holder which makes me have a legal status, so I texted cic to withdraw my application and I got this response:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

A note has been added to your file to notify the responsible office that you wish to withdraw your application. Once the processing of your application begins, the office will determine if the application can be withdrawn and will issue a refund within 16 weeks of the withdrawal, if applicable.

If you have submitted your application with family members and you are the principal applicant, the office will also withdraw their applications.

Please note that the decision to withdraw an application is definitive, and that a new application will require the applicable fees.

NOW MY question is: is it ok if I apply for a TRV with a different application since I am withdrawing this one?

BTW, when you create a new application, don't forget to add details about the other application and why you had to withdraw it.

What do you think about this
After the approval of my Post Graduate Work permit I planned to apply for the Temporary Resident Visa right away. However, due to the lack of understanding of the IRCC online system, I have mistakenly applied for Temporary Resident Status Extension. However, I have been told by immigration expert that I have sent a wrong application to IRCC. Instead of applying for temporary resident visa, I have applied for temporary resident extension. I have contacted IRCC and I have asked for the application to be withdrawn and I got a response that a withdrawal note has been put on the application. I would like to apologize about any inconvenience that this has caused.
