Wrong answer to the question in Tourist Visa application

Five years back, I got rejected for US Student Visa(and Three years back, I reapplied for the same visa and got approved)

Recently my profile got picked in EE and received ITA. I need to answer to "Has XXXX ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?"

One year back, I applied for Canadian Tourist Visa, and to the above question, I made a genuine mistake of saying "No."

Now, what should I say?
If I say yes, then can I get rejected for falsifying information in the previous application?

I was in a similar position to you, and I just added it without any LOE. I got PR without any issues.
