Hello there,

I am using the guide for Latin America countries (my wife is from Colombia) and I have seen in this forum that people write things on the bac of the 8 pictures we have to submit but....it doesn't say anything in the guide so I am wondering if there is really something to write on every picture like her name and date of picture taken or what?

Any clarity over this issue would be nice because I am sending this by the end of the week :)

thank you

Hi, For my husband's immigration pictures (we had to submit 9), he wrote on the back of only ONE picture, his name, date of birth, and the date of the picture was taken.

but what is said in your guide that you had to do it this way?

If your guide doesn't specify it, you can also check on the Applicant's Guide (general guide). This guide says what pisces17 explained.

I got this from the guide (Part 2 of the Immigrants Guide).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3999E.pdf

Photos: Ask a photographer to provide you with a set of photos of yourself and each of your family members included in your application, whether they will be accompanying you or not. The required number of photos for each individual is indicated at Appendix A, under PHOTOS. Photos must comply with specifications given at Appendix B, Photo Specifications. Make sure you give a copy of these specifications to the photographer.
·On the back of one photo (and only one) in each set, write the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it a lot :)

were all your pictures perfectly 35x45?? if i have one that is 34.9x44.8...are they going to refuse it? because here they are all cut by hand, there is no machine and I've been to 5 photo shops and it's all the same!!

u know i did not write the name, date of birth or anything on my pictures. but it was only me on the application not like 2 or 3 family members..so may its not a big deal for me...little worried but i hope they dont request me to send in new pictures with those details..

To be honest, this is what scares me to most :( could anyone help me with this urgently please!!!!!
Ok, 2 pictures are 35x44.1mm and one is 34.2x45mm ...her head is all the same at 29mm
The thing is the guy took the pictures and cut them with a cutter....
do you think Bogota will really ask me to send new pictures because of that?????
I am really tired because it's the fifth shop with do for the pictures....

anyone?? I am sending my application today!!!!!

I wouldnt worry about it the insignificant size difference of one.

I misread my guidline and wrote on the back of all of them :-[... i got through in the min. amount of time 30% of applicants and when they asked for the passport they asked for additional photos. It did not add any time on our case.

Majority of them are to add on to certain documents so its not a total issue.

Good Luck!
