WP Processing Time Xceeded - Flag pole with Visitors visa..?

I have submitted my work permit application in US and it is been more than 6 weeks. My New company wants me to be there soon.Due to Family emergency I came to India.

1. I do have valid visitors visa and is it possible to fly to Canada & get work permit at the border..??

2. Can I enter with Visitor visa and set up my accomodation untill I get my PPR.?

Please help.

1. No. Not possible. This option is only available to those who are visa exempt (i.e. don't require a TRV).
2. Yes, you can enter Canada as a visitor with a valid TRV. Make sure you have a return flight ticket since you are only allowed to enter Canada as a visitor at this time and the airline will require you to have a return ticket to board the flight to Canada.

Hi, I have the same situation as you, I applied in the US on May 31st and done my biometric collection on June 3rd. My application is still in the process but the website shows the processing time is 3 weeks, do you have any news?

The website can show misleading times which in any case are averages not commits plus if applying from a country different from your home country then of course there is likely to be a different processing time given checks that have to be made.
