Would my wife's resignation affect my Work Permit and PR status

Hello Friends,

I came to Canada in 2019 as a co-applicant with my wife who was the principal applicant.
We went through the BC Provincial Nominee Program(BC PNP) and Federal Express Entry with my wife working for an employer on an Employer Specified Work Permit (ESWP) for 2 years. I was granted a two-year open Work Permit as well.

Now my wife wants to resign (before her two-year work permit expires) and go back to her home country to take care of her family, but I will stay in Canada and take care of our child.

I want to know if my wife's resignation will affect my Work Permit and PR status?
This would help to decide what to do next for our loved ones.

Thank you very much!

PR status is independent of having a work permit. She has to meet the same eligibility requirements to become a PR whether or not she is in Canada.

Many Thanks!
Based on your input, once the PR Status is obtained under PNP(through EE), it will not be affected by the principal applicant or co-appliant quitting their Jobs or leaving Canada regardless if their (Employer Specified) Work Permit expires or not.
Am I right ?
