- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 31, 2018.

-We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 16, 2018.

- We started processing your application on November 28, 2018.

-We sent you a notice on January 17, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 18, 2019 at 12:15 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Passed the test 19/20. Interview was gruelling. My fault mainly. Im a conventional refugee and travelled home a couple of times. Reason = death in family. Interviewer took notes of all circumstances. She did not request anything or give me any letter. She just said she will write to me. What do you think might be her next step. Anyone knowledgeable on re availment and cessation? Is there a chance it was routine to question and i should get oath letter?

There's a thread dedicated to cessation in the Citizenship section of the forum. Recommend you post there.

Is it possible going to Oath without passport?
bring to the ceremony:
  • notice,
  • personal identification,
  • IMM 1000, IMM 5292 or IMM 5688 form,
  • permanent resident card [PR card],
  • a holy book of their choice, if they wish to use one to swear the oath of citizenship);

Thanks a lot, I’ll not have my passport for 2 month, so in case the oath came that time

__CAN anyone else share his experience in the oath. DID they ask for passport in the oath?
Thanks again
