Worried about Spouse Work History

I am the primary applicant and I entered my spouse's work experience in the EE profile.

We have received our ITA and we are to submit our application in 15 days.

Got to the upload documents part and realized they've asked for Ref. letters from Spouse's employers.

A couple of problems now. He longer works the jobs for which we entered his NOC. He's left his last employer and is presently self employed. As such he has no letter of reference and may not be able to obtain one.

Should this be disclosed and if so, how?

Should I delete the entire work experience and select no work experience just to make things smoother?

Please help! I'm panicking!!

If you claimed points for spouse’s work you need to upload supporting documents. You should better get experience letter from previous employer.

No points were given. I only got points for his education and language test. The work experience is not Canadian, I guess that's why no points were awarded.

Same thing happened to me. I deleted the work history and explained in a LOE. My application was approved. But do not forget to mention his experience in personal history section.

Ok. Thank you so much. When you say explained, how did you go about that? I mean, do I mention that he's currently out of work and self employed? Will I be required to provide any proof for his self employment? I just want to be clear on how much I would be required to explain/disclose

If you are not claiming any points, then you do not have to provide any proof. Just mention everything truthfully and do not left anything out in his personal history section.

In my LOE I have written that, in the EE profile I mentioned my spouse's work history, but he cannot provide employment letter in cic standards and therefore I deleted it from work history in my pr application.

Explain it in an LOE and move forward. Good luck.
