Hi,

My Work Permit and Visa was Expired on 30-Sep-2016, I have applied for Extension on 29-Sep-2016. Today I got Rejection Letter. Can I stay in Canada and Re-Apply for Work Permit.

You're out of status in Canada now and will need to stop working immediately.

You can certainly re-apply for the work permit if you qualify. You will also need to apply to restore your status since you are now in Canada without status.

NO. Paying Salary implies you are working.

You will have to survive on your savings. Alternatively, you can always return to your home country and work there until a new work permit is approved.

Doing any kind of work or receiving any payments while you are out of status in Canada is illegal and will jeopardize your future in Canada.

1. Restoring Status means is it My VISA or My Work Permit.(How many Months will this Take)
2. So now, I Should apply for New Work Permit or Extension of the Same permit.

1. You would be restoring your work permit (as long as you meet the requirements to restore your work permit). It can take up to 4 months to process a restoration application.
2. Extension.
 
I Spoke My Lawyer she says the processing time would be the same as the Work permit processing time.

Am in dilemma...

It's certainly possible it would take the same time as a work permit - but we've also seen people here wait 4 months.

Most probably not during the time. You won't be able to renew your health card if you don't have a work permit
 
If someone receiving EI on maternity leave while they are under out of status, does she have to stop taking payments. Pl guide. Thanks
 
Hi ,

I got my status restored , now in My permit it says My employment Location is Calgary, and in Conditions it says Not Authorized to work in any location other than stated.
Does that mean I have to work only in Calgary.
