Hi all,
I have few questions regarding work permit extension.

Currently, I am on PGWP. It's expiring on Aug 2, 2017
- I got PNP certificate under International student with job offer stream(Sep 2016)
- I applied for PR (paper based) on Nov 2016
- Received AOR on Jan 2017

My work permit expires in 4 months. I read posts that people went to the border to extend work permit(Is that true? does anyone know how to get the work permit extension at the border?).
Or
Do I need to apply online?

Which province did you get your PNP from? You can try to extend your work permit at the border but you maybe be refused to do it because that decision is upto the CBSA officers. If you apply online, you'll be under implied status until your application is approved so you can keep working.

You should know which work permit are you applying for, either its closed or open.

Province: Ontario.
My PNP certificate is only valid for 6 months. It expired last month. Will that effect my work permit extension?

With AOR you can extend you current PGWP. They will extend it for 1 year

Not if the PNP has employment restrictions, then you cannot apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit.

that procedure is called " flag polling"
in my personal opinion, don't go to border if you have enough time. I heard CBSA officers creating unnecessary problems.

apply with AOR for online work permit, you will get BOWP in 1-month

Hi All,
I applied for PR on August 2016 and got my file number on December 2016. My PGWP is expiring on 25 June, 2017. I am a Provincial nominee from Alberta. In the PNP letter it says there is NO RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT.

Am I eligible to apply for BOWP?
If so, What documents do I need to apply for BOWP?
When I try to do it online it ask me for the following documents:
-Letter of Support from Province or Territory
-Proof that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered
-Employer Questionnaire and Declaration
Do I need all these documents?
