you mean working visa or immigrant visa? If immigrant visa, is it possible that the cap has been reached this early??

i saw it on tv but i think it didn't really report that the cap has been reached already. the report was just saying that there is now a specific number of applications that will be processed per year.

what channel?

Right buddy.. now there is a limit per year. You can read below the paragraph which i have copy and pasted from CIC website:

If you are applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, as of June 26, 2010, a maximum of 20,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing in the following 12 months. Within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year.

Cheers...

yeah... i saw and heard it on abs-cbn news
Oh, that news, yup my mom saw it also in abs, but there was no mention of reaching the cap. Anyway good luck to everyone.

It's not actually close but it's more of reaching the cap/limit set per skill.

This way, the canadian office can attend to the backlogs.
