Hi i work as a paralegal and property manager in glasgow, my friend has recently moved to canada, i would like to spend at least three months working and visiting him in Toronto can anyone tell me how to and what i need to do and any idea the cost involved..

1. If you are under 30 you can apply for a 1 year working holiday visa, google BUNAC or see the London Web Site. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/index.aspx?lang=eng
The visas won't open up again until December.
2. Otherwise you will have to find an employer who is willing to apply for an LMO after advertising on the Job Bank for 2 weeks and have it approved by HRSDC that there are no Canadians or Permanent Residents available for the job. (Unlikely for a short term job)
