I really need a quick answer, could someone answer my problem.

My working permit will be expired in September 15 but I will leave Canada in August and coming back in September 5. I wonder is there any problem when I coming back. Will they question me about my current status because my working permit is gonna expired soon?!!

Cox I am gonna app spouse sponsorship in August and I am still preparing my application. I will submit it soon and extend my working permit with my spouse sponsorship application.

Really worry for it. Please help! ???

Thanks

In theory your idea is sound. I am not sure how it is going to work practically though. You are banking on them allowing you re-entry into Canada with only 10 days left on your work permit. Are you visa exempt? You realize implied status is 'gone' once you leave the country, correct? I know technically it won't come into effect until after your current permit expires but again, you are relying on them allowing you re-admittance into the country with only 10 days remaining on your current permit. They might not be agreeable to doing that. Is there any reason why you are not applying to just extend your current work permit? Is it not of the extendable type or what?

I once came back from my home country with a work permit expiring in ten days. All the officer at the airport said was: are you going to renew your work permit? I said "I think so", and that was it. No problem. I had a valid visa, though.

That's just MY experience, it could obviously be different depending on the day, the weather, anything. haha.

Depending on the Immigration officer you can re-enter Canada with no problem,
like you did in the past...
but if the officer doesn't want to allow you to re-enter you are on route back home in the next available flight...

I am Canadian Citizen,
and a while ago, while re-entering USA through Texas, the immigration officer did not allowed me into USA...
and I am Canadian.... Finally, I had to go to another border and I was allowed into USA...

But I tell you this just for you to know that an immigration officer has the authority to allow you or send you back home...

There is no guarantees.....

You are taking too many risks in my opinion
if I were you, I would have a new working permit and Sponsorship application sent before attempting to leave Canada

But that's is me... I prefer to play safe all the time...
Some people enjoy risk... they may win or may lose...
I don't like to lose.... 8)

Likewise as Lellen I arrived back in Canada with about 10 days left on my work permit. I had applied for an extension knowing it would fail as my permit did not allow extensions but I was given implied status in the meantime, I had no problems at the border apart from a slightly grumpy immigration officer who took exception to me leaning on the counter!
