Hi there,

My company plans to relocates me to Montreal next year. I am in the process of applying express entry, not received the invite yet given the bump of the score near 470. I am in the age of 30 and it is difficult to reach 470.

My question is if my company send me to Montreal next year (around July), how could I apply through EE? I am not a French speaker so I am thinking live near the boarder between montreal and Ontario while applied the EE to demonstrate my intention of leaving. Not sure if that is strong enough to demonstrate that? in addition, I am thinking applied for a graduate degree in other province.

The trick is I have to quite my current job to study at the school. I don't want quit my job which is good enough.

And even if I am lucky to received the EE invite around Jan.2020, there is no guarantee for me to receive CoPR before July based on my understanding of the timeline.

could someone share some insights with me?
many thx!!

Living near the provincial border and keep working in Montreal probably isn't going to cut it. You need to demonstrate you are actively planning to live and work/study elsewhere.

You've to provide a signed affidavit saying you don't intend to live in Quebec for xyz reasons and will leave if and when you get an opportunity.
Not speaking french can always be valid reason. :):):)
