This is great. The only issue which I think might not be in the study permit but on the PGWP permit. As we do not get study permit based on the assumption that we would apply for PGWP later. I have to confirm this at my end. :)
Please do post once you've gotten a confirmation. Will be helpful for us all. However, based on my understanding, you get your PGWP as long as you have complied with your study permit conditions at a DLI, and have studied full-time each semester. IRCC has already confirmed that working from home for a company in another country doesn't count as working in Canada. Therefore, you're still complying with your study permit conditions, while studying full-time. Hence, I don't think PGWP gets affected by working in a foreign country for a foreign company while studying full-time.

I don't think you can work in India while you are taking classes. You may face problems when you would be applying for PWGP because as per labor laws you cannot work more than 20 hours per week as a full time student, which needs to be informed to the Canadian government.
Not true. The OP is in India and can work full time and study at the same time. If in Canada, you can only work 20 hours per week.

It's been repeated over and over in this thread, similar threads and by IRCC as well. Working while studying remotely (outside Canada) is not an issue and will not affect your study permit, PGWP nor PR application when the time comes.

The same applies to working remotely whilst IN Canada as long as the company is not Canadian nor have branches in Canada.

Stop stressing about it :) .

Overthinking has become my thing off late, so please bear with me for this question. Mine is a 8 months course starting September and ending in April 2022. My current employer is headquartered in United States but has multiple branches in Canada. Kindly let me know if I can work in India till Dec 2021 ( as a full time resource) and then move to Canada to complete my last semester on-campus. With this scenario, my PGWP, PR prospects will not be impacted?

The 20-hour rule applies only if inside Canada.

I believe you can work full time even with this company as long as you are outside Canada. Once in Canada, you can still work with this company but the 20-hour/week rule kicks in for you.

If still in doubt, post the question to IRCC on Twitter.
