Hi All, I just want to check and confirm I am working in Canada and accepted as a refugee currently holding the blue passport , Also having the US visa on Blue Passport. Shall I be eligible for perusing my masters in US and simultaneously working in Canada full time. Like if i can travel from Montreal to Plattsburgh whenever I have the classes and on the same day can come back while not staying in US.

On the other side can in work in US on weekends for 20 hours being a student and full time in Canada on week days.

Also Will this travel hit my citizenship criteria post getting my COPR & PR cards.

TIA

It sounds like you have a complex situation with multiple factors to consider. While you may technically be able to study in the U.S. while working in Canada, there are specific rules around studying and working across borders, especially with your refugee status and blue passport. (*Is that a B1/B2 visa or do you have a F1 visa?)
  1. Studying in the U.S.: It’s possible to attend classes in the U.S. with a student visa, but check with both Canadian and U.S. immigration authorities to confirm how frequent border crossings for studies might affect your Canadian residency and eventual citizenship process.
  2. Working in the U.S.: Working part-time in the U.S. while maintaining full-time work in Canada would likely need specific work authorizations in both countries. Canada and the U.S. each have their own rules regarding work permits, and unauthorized employment in either country could lead to complications.
It might be best to consult an immigration lawyer, who familiar with cross-border cases to ensure you’re meeting all requirements without risking your status in either country. Good luck!
