Hi there, I am an Italian citizen presently residing in Italy. 7 months ago I moved to Italy from Canada where i had lived for 7 years (studying at a university). I want to go back to Canada to work and I have decided to do this through a Working Holiday. I have a few questions about the process.

Q: Is it possible to find out when Italy will be open for working holiday applications? last year they updated the working holiday quota on February 15, 2013. Will it be around the same date for this year 2014?

Q: Will I need to provide medical and police certificates to get a place in the quota?

Q: Since i have to provide a police certificate from Canada, How do I go about getting one from where I am (Italy)?

Q: When i contacted a certified panel physician here in Italy, they told me I need a TRN # or HAP ID in order to make an appointment with them. What is a TRN # or HAP ID and how do I get one?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
Best regards.

1. Just keep checking the web site.
2. No, just an Italian police certificate, you don't require a Canadian one, Immigration will do their own Canadian check.
3. You don't require a medical unless you are working in Health/Child care.
4. Note you can only work for the 1st 6 months on a Italian IEC.

Q: Can I apply For a working holiday in Rome - Italy and then go to Canada as a visitor before its finished processing? Can I receive my working holiday visa while in Canada or will I have to go back to Rome to collect it?

Q: Can I use the 6 months that I am allowed as an Italian visitor and then use the working holiday when the 6 months are up?
