Working Holiday - Work Permit - Criminal Background Check question

Hi All,

I'm currently in the process of filling in forms for the work permit part of my IEC (Working Holiday).
Currently, I'm residing in the UK, but for the past 5 years, I've been living in Czech Republic.

As the application requires a criminal background check, should I attach the background check for UK or for Czech Republic?
I ask as normally Czech Republic don't issue criminal record checks to temporary residents... so I might have a problem obtaining such a document.

You will need a background check from the Czech Republic. Since you were not physically present in the UK for the last 5 years, it is safe to assume that you did not get a criminal record in the UK during that time

Thanks for the info.

I went to the Czech offices today and requested the criminal background check. They actually informed me that they would contact the UK and retrieve a criminal background check from there, then add the Czech version on top, so I would end up with both.
