Hi There,

We sent our spouse immigration application in Sept, 2011. Visa office will be: Buffalo, USA
My husband hold working holiday Visa in Canada now, but it will expired in March, 2012. He is New Zealand Citizen.
We would like to know how we should do before his working holiday visa expired.

Option 1/ we send change status application online to CIC.

Option 2/ we go to Buffalo border, enter US then come back to Canada, and show some documents to the border officer that we are in the process for immigration, hope to get 6 months visitor Visa.

I'm not sure which option i could use , or Both are applicable? Please give me some advices, thanks a lot!

I would apply on-line for a change of conditions and ask for a one year visitor visa.

Both options would probably work for him. But I wouldn't worry about it until it is much closer to expiry. He may be a PR by then.
