Working holiday national identity document

Hi there,

I'm looking into doing an internship in vancouver for college and was asked to apply for a working holiday visa (iec).
I've received the invitation to apply but there is a question I don't entirely get.
The ask me if I have a national identity document , but I don't really get what they mean by that.
This was a separate question from my passport information.
I'm as student from Belgium so what would this document be , just my belgian id or something else?

Some countries have a specific national ID card issued to everyone. If you don't have one, it's N/A.
