My canadian partner and I are looking into getting me PR through Sponsorship with him.

I met him when I was living and working in Canada on a Working Holiday visa which is now called IEC.

I have done allot of travelling, and lived and worked in many places. Usually entry level stuff like bar work, restaurants, cafes, receptionist, tourism etc.

Long story short I have lived and worked in many places, sometimes 2 or 3 jobs at a time.

When I filled out my application for my Working Holiday visa it asked me to give them my work history for the last 10 years, which in all honesty, I dont know, Ive worked in so many random jobs, so I simplified it down and sent my app in. Not envisioning I would fall in love and want to live there permanently and need to retain this info.

As this was only a working holiday and not a skilled workers app or anything and I am from a low risk country I knew this info wasn't too important and just a formality.

Now I want to apply for PR, and Ive learned they will check your old applications for any discrepancies, but can't remember what I wrote in my previous app, and I am afraid if I put in something different/conflicting I will get into trouble.

Is there anyway to obtain my previous application from them? I dont think GCMS notes covers this does it? Those are simply the notes the processing officer writes down.

Can I get my old application back?
Will they cross reference working history from an IEC app?
Will it matter or be a problem?

Thanks!

Maybe a good idea would be to request your old application throught gcms note ( access of information programm)But instead of asking electronic note like we do for gcms note, you can ask your physical file. Worth trying, just 5$ to lose.

And its a good idea to be sure that your pr application as the same information as your working holiday visa, they will cross check for sure. We kept copy of our trv application abd use it when we did pr application ;)

Thanks,

Anyone else?

Hi.

1) Yes, you can order the application through ATIP. Instead of choosing the GCMS notes choose "Application and Supporting Documents"

2) Yes, any information that is in old applications will be compared with what's provided in your new application.
