Dear all,

I have some questions about how to plan my Canadian permanent residency application as federal skilled worker.

I received my ph.D in US in Jan 2011. During the 6.5 years of my PhD, I worked as research assistant. Then, since Jan 2011, I have been working as postdoc in US. I am going to Toronto for my new postdoc position there. So does the6.5 years of research assistant experience during my PhD count as working experience of Biologists (NOC2121)? If not, how about my postdoc experience? Can I add my US postdoc experience with future Canadian postdoc experience to make it one year? Does it have to be with only one employer? I need to decide whether to start my Canadian postdoc position in December 2011 as planed or postpone it to Jan 2012 in order to accumulate one year working experience. Your information on this is highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance!
