Hi there guys,

let me explain you my case

- I worked from Oct.2012 until Dec.2014 as a Civil Engineering Trainee (20hrs/week)
- Then I worked from Jan.2015 until Jul.2015 as a Civil Engineering Assistant (Full-time)
- I graduated on Jul.2015 and started working as a Civil Engineer on Aug.2015 up until now. (Full-time)

If I count all this period (considering 20 hrs/week for the internship and 30 hrs/week for full-time position) I will have 3 years experience time that will help me reach 400+ CRS.

My question is, as my duties were different in each of those position, does that mean that I cant consider as 3 years experience time once they problably are different NOCs?

Thanks in advance!!

I do not think your internship during or before your graduation counts towards your work experience.

If the experience that you are referring to is foreign (outside Canada), then it has be minimum one year continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time to be considered for Express Entry under FSW.

If the experience was gained in Canada, then any experience obtained while on a study permit or as part of the study cannot be considered for the purpose of Express Entry (CEC).

Hey Jairichi, Stanlee.
I gained that experience outside Canada.

What about the NOC? Has to be exactly the same?

It does not matter how many different NOCs you have worked in, but for the minimum eligibility criteria of 'at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time', it has be one NOC.

Hello,

I work in two jobs during the one year period (full time and part time at the same time), same NOC.
How do you think, will be my part time added to my work experience?
Now I am working almost two years, and if it is added I will reach two year Canadian work experience earlier?

Thank you.

For CEC you should have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,

Calculation of number of hours for both full-time and part-time are given below.

Full Time - 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Part time - 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) OR 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Thanks for the reply Stanlee.

Let me see if i got this right:

When I go to the CRS Calculator, at the field where asks how many years of skilled foreign work I have, may I select "3 years or more", if I have, for example, two years working under one NOC and another 1+ year under other NOC?

Thanks in advance.
