Working exp Voluntarily

After my masters degree, I did my internship in an IT company for SIX month. After the completion of my internship, I start to work voluntarily in the company. This voluntarily mean with no payment! just wanted to get the experience. I'm working as the research and development team leader in the company.
If I mention about my working experience without salary, would that be a problem in my CV or profile?

Thank you very much for the reply. This situation is not in Canada! I'm in Malaysia and whatever I said is related to Malaysia. Does it make a difference?

Then it makes no difference to CHC if the "volunteer work" was not in Canada

The important thing in this situation is about the experience and the position. Would you suggest me to show this experience although it is not in Canada. I'm really confused and seek for help. Please tell me what to do. thank you so very much in advance.
