Hi everyone,

I am in an 8-month PG Diploma program, I am currently in my Co-op and will be completing it in the month of May. I have enrolled for another PG Diploma in the Fall, however, I was told by my international advisor that I will not be able to work during the summer as I do not have a PGWP, reason being that I will be applying for extending my study permit once I get a letter of acceptance. So apparently, I cannot work until I register for the course that begins only in September.

In a case like mine where students enroll in one course after completing the other, is it not possible to work during the summer in some part-time jobs? Your guidance would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Technically you can't work until you get into your second course.

hi, what if I'm starting my courses in the summer, I'll be enrolled as part - time ( not many courses offered because it's a scheduled break) can I work part - time too?

You must remain enrolled as a full time student.
