I arrived in Canada in late August 2017, did not work until Mar 15th 2018.

The job is part-time and the average work hour/week is 22-24.

My question is that when applying for PGWP will my work hours get evened out and whether I will get into trouble or not?!

Thanks everyone.

How does this fit in with the limitation of 20 hours per week during study periods? This is NOT an average but a maximum.

OKay tks. so i figure that my situation is not okay. i have been working for just over a month now. Will it help if it reduce my hour to 20hrs/week now?!
It won't change history but it will help you to stay legal from now on.

haha the user above you gave the opposite ideal, oh man i really want to work 2,3 extra hours, my gpa is above 3 so i dont have to worry abt being affected by work. But nvm, I'll play safe this time. Can't mess around with this, its too important for me! Thanks!

Complelety wrong. Immigration law very clearly states a maximum of 20 hours/week. Anything above that is illegal. There is no averaging of hours.

CIC is very strict in regards to part time hours for international students. If an international student has been working over more than 20 hours per week regardless how long they have been working, they will for sure find out from CRA which all employers report employee incomes too or from any source, that international student can be deported or once they graduate and file for a PGWP, they can be refused and be deported then as well.
