Working after graduation and before getting PGWP visa

As I know, it's possible to work full time in between graduation and getting PGWP visa.

I have graduated from a school last August. I got an job offer and supposed to be working next week.
My concern is that I didn't get work visa yet but have applied last month.

My question is that is it possible to work? and if so, where can I find the information or link that I can show them to my employer.

- had a valid study permit,
- had completed your program of study,

I have been going through this thread and let me tell you all I am really nervous.

I got a job in the accounting/billing department after I finished college.
I started working there from June 1st and applied for my pgwp on the June 20th

I got my transcripts on 13th May and on 1st June I received my graduation letter from the college.

Now according to this thread what I have learned is that I wasn't supposed to work after I received my graduation letter (1st June) but I did and worked till 20th June which is when I applied for my pgwp. Now this means I worked with no authorization (40hrs/week) between 1st June-20th June. Cutting off the weekends and 1 sick day I had between 1st-20th June I worked 13 days with no authorization. I also did not mention this in my application as for pgwp as I had no idea about it (got to know about it a few days ago)

Guys, please tell me how tight my situation is, I know the Canadian government allowed international students to work for 40 hours due to COVID-19 but that was only for essential workers and my job doesn't come in that category. Please help as it been 37 days since I applied for my pgwp and I am scared that it might get rejected due to this.

According to cic when you graduate and the time until you apply for pgwp you can only work for 20 hours. After applying for pgwp and waiting then you can work for 40 hours.

Wrong, you are not allowed to work at all. You can only start working after you put in your work permit application. Once you finish you studies, you are no longer student and cannot work. No matter the hours.

@sidcome, yes you did work illegally, and when you apply for PR, this could cause a problem. But I wouldn't panic. Just explain what happened when you apply for PR and I believe 20 days wouldn't cause a huge problem. Though, can't say for sure, Not knowing is not an excuse and if processing officer sees it that way ( which is unlikely and he will most likely let it go) there is nothing you can do.

If you could let me about that and how much trouble I am in for my work permit I would appreciate that greatly and tbh between 1-20 June cutting of the weekends and 1 sick day that I took I only worked 13 days to be exact.
do you think 13 days would make such a big difference?

You will get the work permit. Since it does not require to provide any employment proof, you are eligible by default (given you are not inadmissible for security reasons), you won't have any problem with that.
