hello i worked on my sin number for one month after my school semester end in december. As i didn't know i can't work anymore. Now i have applied for the restoration. What are the chances that they will find out that i was working illegaly. This have been a big mistake by me and now i am very scared that they will find out that i was working. Please if someone can help me with some answers. Thanks

I have applied for a study permit extensionand i have attached a letter to the cic telling them that i only have 1 course left in my Deploma. And cometed 19/20 courses already. If they give me extension this time i will be done with mu studies. I just dont know what are the chances of them finding out that i worked when not allowed. Thanks

So, it means they are 100% going to reject my restoration application? Or there is chance they might not reject it?

They check randomly. There is a good chance that you will be fine. But during PR application, you might get caught.

Thanks for saying that. It means i still have little chance. It was biggest mistake of my life. I just found out about a week ago that it can be a problem. I pray to god and hope for the best. Do you know anyone who didn't get caught?

I dont think there is any problem with this i know couple of people they worked more than 30 hours with their studies. Never had any problem. You paid tax whatever you worked so its not illegal.

Thanks for your reply veer. I recently find out that it was illegal. Now its just killing me that if they find out i worked they will ask me to leave the country. If you know someone who worked wothout authorization and didn't have any problem. Thats really satisfying to hear. And yeah i payed my taxes. So hopefully waheguru will help me out of this trouble. Thanks

You are wrong my friend. It is ILLEGAL. Period.

If they catch it, it will lead to cancellation of permit. Of course small deviations here and there are ignored. But working straight 1 month illegally has way worse fate, if caught.

A couple of African students were rejected based on this few years back. That surfaced to the newspaper as well. You may find it in this forum too.

i agree with you and also read those African girls story in which they didn't have any work permit while they were studying not even 20 hrs WP . I remember my time before they gave 20 hrs work permit after 6 months. but in this case its totally different he already have 20 hrs work permit he just worked hours extra and he paid his taxes for that too.

Those girls only had on campus work permit not off campus. Now again those girls are back in Canada after deportation.
