Good morning,

Here is my case, I arrived to Canada in June 2011 on a working holiday visa started working as a store manager right away. In May 2012 i got a closed work permit for the same company i was working for but in June 2012 i left the company for some reasons.. and started working for different companies from July 2012 to March 2013, in March 2013 i got a stable job and got a new visa with this company in June 2013 then i applies for PR under cec in December 2013.

To sum up, i worked few months with a closed work visa for different companies ( illegally then) i know my application will most likely rejected but i wanted to have some confirmation or two cent about that.

Also, i stated all the companies i worked for illegally on my application.

Thx you in advance for any help.

You are right to be concerned. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/RESOURCES/manuals/op/op25A-eng.pdf - Section 10.11 (Top of page 10).

Any periods of self-employment or unauthorized work will not be included in calculating
the period of work experience [R87.1(3)(b)]. A person who has worked in Canada
without authorization has failed to comply with A30(1), and on that basis could be found
inadmissible under A41.
Just hope you get lucky...

I hope i will get lucky, it is what it is i made a mistake and have to assume it.

Are you from UK? If i don't get my PR in Canada i will most likely move to London.

Yep, from the UK, about 50km from the centre of London. Personally, I don't like London much. It's noisy, expensive and becoming more restrictive all the time. However, each to his/her own.

Sincerity is in short supply in immigration departments so they just might be overwhelmed by your sincerity and pass you through. Keep fingers crossed.

Heh, I personally think London is one of the greatest cities in the world and can offer so many opportunities to anyone who lives there, and I'm disappointed I only got a year there.

I'm from Manchester btw, so I'm not bias or whatever.

I'm sure Apexis might love it.

Hello,

I can't not stop thinking about that since few days, even i applied 4 months ago under CEC i kinda forgot about my "illegal" few months.

I have found that:

You cannot apply for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class if you:

Gained your work experience without the proper authorization (for example, illegally, as an undocumented worker).

It does not matter if they don't count this experience has it was just labor job and i gained my experience that qualify for CEC with a correct authorization.

Someone has any further opinion? or know anyone who was in the same case?

Thx you :)

Do you think that might be a matter?

I'm in my late 20s, i"m holding A European passport and i did not make a lot of money as my illegal jobs were minimum pay.

Really appreciate your help :)

I guess it's why i'm looking for some comfort even if i know it won't change anything but maybe someone in the same situation can share his/her experience.

What about my age and nationality you think it matters?

No it doesn't matter how old you are or what nation you belong to.
