Hello. I'm 27 and I'm waiting to hear back from 3 different warehouse jobs in the Mississauga brampton area. I'm not really too sure of what happens next if I do get the job offer. I've read on many websites that then the employers get a a lmia and then I can apply for the work visa. Is there anyone I can talk to that can possibly help me break this down a little bit? I'm American if that helps. My girlfriend is Canadian.

You would have to hire an immigration lawyer if you want someone to talk you through the process.

Yes - the employer will need to obtain an LMIA before you can apply for a work permit. The LMIA process is quite long (months), involved and expensive for the employer and requires them to advertise the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role.

The fact your girlfriend is Canadian has no relevance or impact to the process.
