Hi there

In my work experience I have listed jobs back to Dec 2007 - which I have achieved reference letters for.

However in my 10 year personal history I have identified I was working for a different firm from April to Dec 2007.

That firm has been bought by another one and no longer exists, nor do I still have contact with anyone there

I have included this within an LoE, however as there are differences will this be a problem?

As it's not actually within my work history then it doesnt prompt me for a reference letter.

Since you have moved it back to personal history, it will not ask you to attach any reference letters/documents for that work experience. If you are still eligible by excluding that work experience from your application, you will have NO problem.
As for LoE, you don't need to mention it. Even if you do to feel satisfied, no need to worry over this situation.
