Hi all,

After I completed my undergrad in UK in 2011 I applied for a post study work permit there which is valid till Oct-2013. After completeing my studies in UK I did a couple of internships each lasting 3-4 months and then started working in October'12 on a freelance basis for a small company based in UK. I left UK in November 2012 and have been staying in Bangladesh since. I am still working for that UK employer on a freelance basis. They only pay me on project basis and does not require me to pay any tax. I only work when they send me task not all the time.

My question is do I still need to include any employment related papers or tax stuff with my visa applicaton? It wouldn't make any sense anyway because all I did was a couple of internships in UK and now part-time on a freelance basis. These are not proper jobs and I don't have any papers from the employer as well. Also I am currently residing in Bangladesh. What do you guys say?

P.S. Having said that I am mentioning about my internships and freelance job in the application form. I also have to submit a CV, as it mentions that anyone who has been out of education for more than 2 years should include a CV. Please let me know, I would really appreciate

If you are sponsoring yourself then you need to include tax paper ,employment paper. If not then not necessary. As you can give your fathers or mothers. You need to show proper source of money.

You should mention all of your professional experiences, whether they are internships, trainings, part time (professional) jobs. It will serve to bridge the gap after the completion of your studies since 2011. Moreover, only mentioning in CV/SOP is not enough, you must give a few documents proving your experience. Otherwise they can refuse with clause "your current employment situation".

You need to show employment certificate, tax returns and salary slips of your sponsor.

Hey Uvic,

Thanks for getting back to me, yes I have included the employment letter/certificate of my internships and freelance work. Also mentioned in CV. Should that be enough? Please let me know

I am not working anymore have put May 2013 as the end of my last employment which makes sense as I am planning to start studying again.

well my parents are in business and they showing their business incomes and other related documents

I think it should work. But be sure to include the necessary certificates pertaining to the business registration# etc, affidavit of your parents confirming to support you financially, and the bank statement of business account.
Also ensure that no major change (below the required financial amount for your visa) is done in the statements during the visa application period. This should help VO to ensure that your parents are able to maintain atleast the required amount in their account, and the business can continue without this amount. I have known a case in which a guy had his uncle supporting him and the statement varied too much during the visa time; he got to give interview at the CHC and his visa was delayed, so he had to skip a term.
