1) Get a job offer
2) The prospective employer must then apply to the government for an LMO (Labour Market Option). To be granted this the employer must prove that they have advertised the job for a sufficient length of time (normally 3 months) without finding a suitable Canadian citizien or permanent resident to fill the role
3) Once a positive LMO has been granted, then you yourself may apply for a temporary work permit
