Also, the study program is 9 months and part-time in Accounting (same field he works in)

As it is over 6 months, he would require a study permit.

Hi there, I am not sure if you are still here to answer.

But instead of applying for a TRV, shouldn't she just apply for an OWP(Outland), being a spouse of a skilled worker in Canada, first, and when she receives it, she will automatically get an eTA to travel to Canada?

She will not get an eTA, as she is not visa-exempt. If she applies for an OWP, the TRV will be processed along with it.

So she would apply for the OWP and the TRV at the same time? Or apply for the TRV and then apply for the OWP when in Canada?

I thought she would apply for the OWP (Outland), and be given an eTA attached to it automatically, as she is from Guatemala, and requires a visa to come to Canada.

Wait. Tell me if I am correct. Since she can apply for an OWP because she is a spouse of a skilled worker, working in Canada, wouldn't she just apply for an eTA to come to Canada and bring proper paperwork to receive an OWP at the airport by CBSA?

I answered my own question. She would apply for a TRV and an OWP (Outland). Recieve the TRV to travel to Canada, and then be issued the OWP at POE. Correct? Will she be given an authorization letter for her OWP before coming to Canada, or would she just bring her documents with her to Canada and give them to a CBSA officer to get approved?

For the last time: She is not visa-exempt and therefore can't get an eTA.

She will be given a letter.

Thanks, man. Sorry for the confusion.

Regarding the husband who is a Federal Skilled worker in Canada. Even though it is part-time studies program is 9 months and only in the evenings, he would still have to apply for a standard study permit inland correct, because it is longer than 6 months. As a NAFTA professional, he is not given any special criteria to follow?

Nothing different about the study permit process for NAFTA professionals.

Thanks.

Do you know what someone would have to do if a Study Permit was lost or damaged by a courier (Canada Post), and the classes started in 2 days? Would they just fill out the application to replace a lost or damaged document? Or is there an Urgent way of getting a new one within 48 hrs?

Would the study permit application be the IMM 5709 forms (Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Student), if he is already in Canada on his work permit? I can only find outland study permit applications.
