My wife and I were both approved as a convention refugee in November. We applied for a work permit by mail and it was received Dec 21 2016 however 3 months later and we haven't heard back from cic. When I called they said they were still working on applications received Nov 12 and out 109 have not started. We are falling on really hard times and we do not know where to turn. I wIsh we could hear back soon so we can start working because we are only able to pay 1 more rent and eat what we have left for food. Desperate to know if it usually takes this long
