Hello all,
If a person holds temporary work permit for 3 years, but according to the requlations of the institution a contract is signed annually (for one year every time) does the work permit guarantees full 3 year work in the upcomming years?

Do you have a 3 year work permit? I didn't realise u could get a 3 yr permit.

Hi!Im a Staff Nurse that worked 2 years in Saudi Arabia and I met a Nurse who offered me a Job for Canada Thru a Working Visa as a Staff Nurse(Direct Hire) for a certain Corporation however when I checked on the net its telling me that the Corporation is DISSOLVED and it is located in Vancouver. She knows this as well but still she told me that the contract would be 3 years and accomodation and food were included and rest assured that the corp is stable and we have nothing to worry about because she herself is interested to go. She told me that they are in need of 56 Staff Nurse ASAP. So i submitted the documents and she told me its for assessment and evaluation and then the process will continue. But the thing is..I am in still in doubt because no ielts was needed but after 1 year the employer would help us to apply for residency and we must have IELTS by that time.

Thanks for the reply. As İ understood from your message, the work permit is not a guarantee?

She is actually stating that its a working visa(i dont know if im saying it right). And i asked her about ielts..she told me no need because we will go to canada same as of OFW's not as imigrants. But my concern is..no matter how i search the copr name she gave me is still dissolved .Thanks for the reply!

This sounds very very dodgy.

In which province is the "job offer"? Have you checked the requirements for you to register as a nurse in that province?

Hi All,
I am an Indian citizen working in Canada on work permit. CIC renew my work permit every year and this is my third year. I have already submitted my application (on June 3) for work permit (employer specific) along with my wife's application for Open work permit (same as last two years).
I have a question regarding online application update. Our work permits starts from July 15 and since my wife's new job is from November 2, 2015 to Nov. 1, 2016 and my submitted application is for Jul 15, 2015 to July14, 2016, I am thinking to get open work permit and wife's employer specific for dates specific to my wife's job. Can I update my already submitted application? Or is there any other way solve this problem?

Any help/suggestion in this matter will highly be acknowledged.

Yeah..seems so too..when i asked her what is the hospitals name..she couldn't give me any name..she said to wait for the working permit,but she told me that it'll be in vancouver.So she wants me to pay first..then wait for the work permit..lol!i'm not sure.Thats why i joined be ause i wanted answers..hehe..Thanks!!

Pay for what? It sounds very dodgy to me. It is employers responsibility for all payments except when you have the paperwork required for you to send off for your work permit.

Anyone asking for money up front sounds like a scam.

WELL..the first half of the payment would be for the processing of ghe work permit then thr other half is for the anti terrorist certificate..that's accdg to the recruiter..lol!and she's always texting me and telling me if i could send it to her asap..lol!
